Whether your family lives in town or you have relatives descending on DC for a visit, there’s plenty to discover in our own backyard — and these tours are intended to help you do just that. Designed for kids and adults alike, each dynamic tour pulls back the curtain of the buildings we all know and love while telling the stories of the people who have shaped the city we call home.

The tour kits, currently available for five neighborhoods, include everything a parent, teacher, Scout troop leader, or homeschooler would need to guide children through several blocks of buildings with stimulating conversation starters and activities that build on the tour experience. The free tour materials are designed for the 8-12 age group, but the tours are fun and educational for people of all ages!
