Now that the air is officially crisp and the leaves are turning, it’s time to dive head first into fall — and everything this festive season has to offer. One of our favorite autumnal pastimes? Picking pumpkins against a picturesque backdrop…surrounded by quintessential harvest distractions, of course.

#1 Butler’s Orchard:

Pick-your-own pumpkins for 75 cents per pound at the Orchard’s 44th Annual Pumpkin Festival (now through November 3), which offers boozy cider, corn mazes, tractor rides, and live music. Spoiler alert: Butler’s Orchard is our personal favorite. We host our annual client appreciation celebration here every fall with live music, food and drinks, games, hayrides, pumpkin picking, and a whole lot of fun!

#2 Great Country Farms:

Come celebrate fall and enjoy an unforgettable experience picking pumpkins, getting lost in a corn maze, and roasting marshmallows by the bonfire. And don’t forget about their beloved freshly made Cider Donuts!

#3 Gaver Farm:

An easy drive from DC, this pumpkin patch is open from 10 AM – 6 PM every day with over 12 acres of beautiful pumpkins to choose from! The farm offers 37 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and squash to provide you with an incredible selection of fall pumpkins that will take your seasonal display to the next level.

#4 Larriland Farm:

Here, visitors can pick-their-own pumpkins on weekends, pick apples throughout the week, and shop for local dairy, produce, and apple cider. Paid group hayrides are available with advance registration!

Welcome to an exciting Fall Festival, packed with crisp vibes and perfect for photo ops! Savor delicious treats, refreshing drinks, and shop at multiple markets. #6 Queen Anne Farm:

#8 Clark’s Elioak Farm:

In Ellicott City, discover a pumpkin patch, petting farm, and an “enchanted forest” replete with fairytale characters. Pumpkins of every size are available for $3 each, along with gourds in the Castle Store. Guests can hunt for minerals at the farm’s new gem mining station, but don’t forget to check out the classic pony rides, animal races, and Enchanted Express train rides, too!
