Lifestyle

Are you ready for basketball madness? Whether you’re a basketball enthusiast or a casual onlooker, the next few weeks of March are undoubtedly a slam dunk when it comes to spirited competition matched with bracket-busting intrigue. But once your picks are in, the question becomes: Where can you go to watch the drama unfold in real time?

Cheer on your favorite teams — from the hopeful Cinderellas to the very top seeds — at these quintessential DC spots, many of which are serving up exclusive deals exclusively for the occasion. Let the madness begin!

#1 Tom’s Watch Bar: Catch every game of the men’s and women’s tournaments at Tom’s Watch Bar in Navy Yard, where massive screens and a 360-degree viewing room ensure you won’t miss a moment of the action.

#2 Midlands: This Park View beer garden is ready for tournament action with more outdoor TVs, including 86-inch patio screens. Enjoy the games with $5 Miller Lite pints, $18 pitchers, and $20 Bud Light or Old Time Lager buckets in a lively indoor-outdoor setting.

#3 Franklin & Quincy Halls: The sister Tin Shop bars are going all-in on March Madness. Franklin Hall has 19 seventy-inch TVs, more than 25 draft beers, and wall-to-wall coverage all weekend long. Over in Ballston, meanwhile, Quincy Hall bar and beer garden will host a bracket pool for a $1,000 total in gift card prizes: First place is $500, second place is $300, and third place is $200.

#4 Ivy & Coney: As usual, Shaw’s low-key hangout for cheap drinks, hot dogs, and thick pizza will open its doors to fans repping every team on the bracket. An added bonus on sunnier days? A roof deck bar with six TVs!

#5 King Street Oyster Bar: Who said sports couldn’t be decadent? If you prefer oysters to usual game day fare, you can opt for $1 house oysters (in increments of three) and $5 cocktails at all King Street Oyster Bar locations. The only catch? This promotion is available just from 3-6:30 PM each day.

#6 Sports & Social: The sprawling sports bar, gaming lounge, and tavern at Pike & Rose is offering tournament specials that include $5 build-your-own burgers (and more). There’re also a ton of games, pub grub, and a dog-friendly patio for outdoor viewing.
