The Olympics officially take center stage this week (with the opening ceremony happening Friday), and DC is rolling out all the stops to celebrate in style. Wondering how you can carry on the torch of rooting for your country like never before?

#1 Midlands
Aside from opening early for all women’s and men’s soccer matches, this Georgia Avenue watering hole — equipped with 11 TVs in its indoor sports bar and seven in its beer garden — will air all other Olympic events during its regular business hours, including the live opening ceremony at 1:30 PM and the rerun at 7:30 PM on Friday. Drink specials include $5 pints as well as $10 margaritas and frozen cocktails.

#2 Penn Quarter
This quintessential TV-lined sports bar will host an opening ceremony watch party — while also celebrating its own 20th anniversary — with a performance from the Side by Side go-go band at 1 PM.
#3 Morris
More interested in the Olympics’ host city than the games themselves? Check out the soon-to-debut Parisian themed pop-up bar (decorated with mini Eiffel towers and neon signs, of course) that’s set to open at Morris on August 2. Partnering with Lillet apéritif and Netflix, the pop-up will serve Lillet cocktails while it screens the Olympic games alongside Emily in Paris episodes on a 15-foot projector.
#4 Commodore
In addition to having the games and opening ceremony playing on its TVs, the beloved 17th street dive bar will feature themed food and drinks, including a $20 French monte cristo on house-made brioche, French 75 cocktails on draft, “Gold Medal” Jell-O shots, and “The Olympic” cocktail special.

Dive into water sports on the Potomac at this down-to-earth Wharf pub, which will showcase all major USA events and matches on its large projection screen to be washed down with $10 “Captain America” cocktails, $6 Brighton lagers, and $25 buckets of Miller High Life. This restaurant and sake lounge in DC’s Penn Quarter neighborhood will be hosting Olympic Happy Hour with themed cocktails from noon-8 PM every single day between tomorrow (Friday) and August 11.
#9 Wunder Garten
NoMa’s Wunder Garten will host an assortment of events to celebrate the Olympics, including an “encore” airing of the opening ceremonies at 7 PM on Friday, July 26. The beer garden will also host its own soccer watch parties: One kicking off at noon on Saturday, July 27, for the US men’s vs. New Zealand game and another starting at 2 PM Sunday, July 28, for the US women’s vs. Germany game.
#10 Shaw’s Tavern
This storied neighborhood gastropub plans to keep the games on during its regular hours, and will also air the opening and closing ceremonies with full audio while it dishes out Olympic-themed cocktails for $12. Fittingly titled “Gold”, “Silver”, and “Bronze”, each drink is made with a different colored spirit and will be available throughout the games.
